the day spread out before me, blank, like a sheet of paper,

I, like a stone, kneel while the waters of prayer wash over me.
I freeze against Thy whiteness.
Once more, myself, I feed upon Thy manna of the minutes.

about the Commission and the Premiere
The work was commissioned by the Vocal Ensemble Kerkrade. It was premiered by the ensemble on December 22, 2012, in Kerkrade, the Netherlands.

本楽曲は、Vocal Ensemble Kerkrade（ケークラーデ、オランダ）による委嘱作品です。初演は2012年12月22日に行なわれました。
